* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of up to one inch and ice accumulations of up to one quarter of an inch.
* WHERE...Anchorage and Matanuska Valley.
* WHEN...From noon Monday to 6 AM AKST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Very slippery sidewalks, roads and bridges are possible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A series of storms will bring considerably warmer weather and a chance of precipitation to the area today through Tuesday. Rain is most likely to spread into Anchorage and the Mat-Su Valley from Monday afternoon through Monday night. While temperatures may rise above freezing, surface temperatures are likely to remain below freezing due to recent cold weather. Untreated and snow-covered roadways and other surfaces that remain below freezing are expected to become extremely slick.
