Our officers are currently responding to numerous calls for disabled or stranded vehicles on our roadways. We are frequently encountering vehicles that are not equipped for the current snow conditions or drivers who have no essential reason to be traveling.

These situations endanger both the occupants of the disabled vehicles and our officers. Responding officers must exit their patrol cars in hazardous road conditions, increasing their risk of being struck by passing vehicles who themselves have reduced traction.

Plow crews are working tirelessly to clear the roadways, but with ongoing snowfall, travel remains extremely dangerous. We urge you to stay home and avoid unnecessary travel.
