Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. requests the public’s help in identifying the two suspects pictured below, who stole a victim’s cell phone on Sunday, January 5, 2025.
As the victim shopped at the Loco Hot Deals Store on Ferry Street, one of the female suspects bumped into her at approximately 5:40 p.m. while the second female suspect reached into the victim’s purse to take her cell phone. Both suspects left the store after the theft which was captured on surveillance video.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information on the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are confidential and could result in a reward.
