LINGERING SNOW-COVERED ROADS AND SLICK SPOTS WITH COLD CONDITIONS TONIGHT
From Jim Hamberg, Mayor
LINGERING SNOW-COVERED ROADS AND SLICK SPOTS WITH COLD CONDITIONS TONIGHT
As the snow comes to an end, some streets may become snow-covered or slick through tonight. Southgate Public Works has done an excellent job working diligently to clear our streets over the last two days with little rest. Some patchy blowing snow may cause snow to blow back onto previously cleared streets, allowing for potential slick spots to linger longer. Exercise caution if driving tonight. Our crews will be out through the week continuing to clear and clean our streets. The Snow Emergency for Southgate remains in effect.
Additionally, wind chill values around zero are expected tonight into early Wednesday morning. Bundle up in layers especially when shoveling and avoid prolonged periods of time outdoors, if possible.
