Child Sexual Assault Arrest 
On 01-06-25 at 7:21 p.m. Janesville Police Department Street Crimes Unit Officers were patrolling in the 2300 Block of Harvard Dr. when they saw an illegally parked vehicle on the roadway. The officers made contact with the occupants and identified them as 28 year old Edward Diaz and a 15 year old female. After further investigation it was found that Edward and the juvenile female had sexual contact just prior to the officers contacting them. Edward was arrested for several charges and held at the Rock County Jail pending his initial court appearance. The female, who was not injured in any way, was turned over to her family.
