The National Weather Service has issued a warning for severe winds forecast to impact San Marino through Wednesday morning. Wind speeds of 30 to 50 mph, with gusts reaching 60 mph up to 80 mph, could cause significant damage and disruptions.
 
To stay safe, we advise staying indoors and keeping away from windows during this time. Be prepared for potential power outages and travel disruptions, particularly if you drive high-profile vehicles. Make sure your electronic devices and flashlights are all fully charged in the event that you lose power. If power is shut off, it may return in spurts or be kept off until the windstorm is over. The combination of strong winds and dry conditions also creates a heightened risk of wildfires.

City of San Marino staff will be monitoring the streets for major debris and hazardous conditions and will clear what they can throughout the night. San Marino Public Works crews will work to pick up fallen branches and palm fronds from public right-of-ways. They are working as quickly as possible to keep the roads clear.
