#CloseFire has ignited in the Eaton Canyon area, near Allen Ave. Fire is not yet contained, but not an immediate threat to Sierra Madre. 
A fire has been reported in the Eaton Canyon area, near North Allen Avenue. Dubbed the "Close Fire", it has burned approximately 10 acres of vegitation and is not yet contained. Sierra Madre Fire Department is actively monitoring the situation in the event that the wind gusts move the direction of the fire towards Sierra Madre.
We will continue to update through Nixle Alerts and social media once we receive updates. While there is not a current threat to the safety of our Sierra Madre community, if you feel the need to evacuate, please secure your home and use caution while traveling through the windstorm affected areas.
