Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. requests the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured male suspect in an aggravated assault that occurred on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.
At approximately 11:30 a.m., Police responded to Lyons Avenue and Parkview Terrace on a call that a female NJ Transit bus driver was slapped by a male following a verbal altercation. The male suspect had attempted to flag down the bus driver hoping that she would pull over and allow him to enter the bus at a location not designated as a bus stop. The suspect entered the bus at the next stop and had words with the driver before slapping her in the face.
Detectives investigating this incident describe the suspect as wearing all-black clothing with a black hat. He also has red and black hair.
