MANDATORY EVACUATION ORDERS REMAIN IN PLACE
The City of Sierra Madre is partnering with approximately 500 firefighters from Local and Regional partners, including the Cities of Arcadia and Monrovia, CAL OES, Los Angeles County Fire as well as units from Orange County to protect life and property throughout the City.
Mandatory evacuations remain in place for all sections of town north of Sierra Madre Blvd. All roads above are closed to the public for emergency operations. Areas below Sierra Madre Blvd. continue to be under voluntary evacuations.
The City of Sierra Madre is urging residents and businesses to conserve water for firefighting purposes. Please only use water for hydration and sanitation at this critical time. Save water, save homes!
The City Council and City management continue to work with County, Regional and State representatives to obtain all available resources to assist with this incident.
