An Eaton Fire Update For The Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station Area

Good morning from Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station.

The winds have died down and it is a very smoky start to the day.  There are no active fires in the City of La Cañada Flintridge, La Crescenta, or in the Montrose area. It appears the fire has not crossed the Arroyo Seco.

There are evacuation orders for the entire city of La Cañada Flintridge.  The unincorporated communities of La Crescenta and Montrose are under a evacuation warning.  The fire is still zero percent contained.  We hope the Los Angeles County Fire Department and partnering agencies will hold the fire to our east.  Until they can safely be assured there is no risk to our area, they cannot release the evacuation order.

We know many of you still do not have power. We do not know when the power will be restored. There are numerous trees and lines still down. Our station is effected as well and is under generator power. Because of our backup generator system, we are fully operational to serve the public.  Further, we are hosting Altadena Sheriff's Station while they are evacuated from their station.

We want to thank the public for being patient and understanding during this challenging time. Together,  we can stay safe and promote some order during the chaos.
