The Wilmington Partners in Care Program is pleased to share its third progress report, which captures data and explores the impact of this new program between October 1 and December 31, 2024.

A partnership between the Wilmington Police Department and ChristianaCare, the Wilmington Partners in Care Program pairs trained mental health clinicians with police officers, who respond as a team to calls for service and conduct proactive outreach to support those in need in our community. Our program was launched in March 2024, and presently includes a case manager and two clinicians.

During the fourth quarter of the year – from October 1 through December 31, 2024 – the Wilmington Partners in Care team provided services to a total of 117 individuals – including 108 new clients and 9 individuals who had previously been receiving support from the program.

“We are proud to see the continued positive impact of this initiative in neighborhoods across Wilmington,” said Chief Wilfredo Campos. “We are appreciative of the dedication of our entire Partners in Care team, and look forward to seeing this program continue to develop.”

The progress report issued today includes data from the program’s fourth quarter outreach, as well as details about the types of support that the clinicians and case manager have provided. We will continue to issue quarterly progress reports as the program continues its work in the community.
