Houston City Council meeting tonight canceled 
NOTICE OF MEETING CANCELLATION
Due to unsafe weather conditions and their impact on local roads and parking areas, the Houston City Council meeting originally scheduled for January 9, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. has been canceled.
After assessing current road conditions and considering the recommendations of the Public Works Department, it has been determined that holding the meeting tonight would pose a risk to public safety. The Public Works Director has noted that this is despite several applications of sand.
Acting Mayor David Childs addressed the situation, stating:
"I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. However, ensuring the safety of our residents, staff, and visitors is our top priority."
