**Morning Update on the Eaton Fire**

Last night, the Los Angeles County Fire Department and assisting agencies did an incredible job holding the Eaton Fire line to our east. Thanks to their efforts, there is no active fire in the City of La Cañada Flintridge, La Crescenta, or Montrose, and we have no reported fire or structure loss in our area. From our photos, you can see the smoke is subsiding, and our area is looking safe at the moment.

Our station is still without power, but our backup generator is working well, and we remain fully operational, ready to serve the public without delay. Much of our station area is also without power, and we have no timeline for its return. As you can see in our photos, crews are working hard to clear downed trees and repair power lines. This will take time as the number of missions they have are many.

Our deputies are now working 12-hour shifts with days off canceled to ensure maximum coverage. Numerous units from other stations are assisting at fixed traffic control points and conducting looting patrols. This increased presence—many times our normal staffing—helps maintain safety and prevent criminal activity.

The entire city of La Cañada Flintridge remains under an evacuation order. Deputies at traffic control points are not allowing anyone to enter the area. Until the fire department feels confident there is no threat to our communities, the current evacuation orders and warnings will stay in place. Once the risk has been mitigated, residents will be allowed back home. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to ensure everyone’s safety.
