Waste Disposal, Cleanup Efforts, and Resident Assistance
The City wants to remind all residents: Debris cannot be placed on the roadway. All debris must either be disposed of in green bins or brought to the designated drop-off location.
To assist with cleanup efforts:
- Two 40-yard bins for green waste only have been placed at the Duarte Civic Center Parking Lot (1600 Huntington Drive), next to Pops Road.
- Residents are asked to enter through the Pops Road entrance.
- These bins will be available until 4 PM today, January 10.
- Food waste will not be accepted at the drop-off location.
If you're clearing debris from your property:
- Place limbs, branches, and leaves in your green bins as much as possible or drop them off at the 40-yard bins.
- Cut or chop larger branches or fallen trees into manageable sizes for easier disposal.
Street Sweeping and Trash Services
Street sweeping and Burrtec trash collection services are operating as scheduled today, January 10. Parking enforcement will not be in effect for streets scheduled for sweeping.
Duarte Fitness Center Showers
The Duarte Fitness Center (1600 Huntington Drive) is opening its showers from 11 AM to 2 PM for residents still without power. Reservations are required.
- A valid ID will be needed.
- Please call the Fitness Center at (626) 357-6118 to reserve a time slot.
