Wilmington Police have arrested a man on drug charges.
On January 7, at approximately 12:34 p.m., members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division were in the 100 block of North Dupont Street when they observed a male subject engaged in drug-related activity. Police made contact with 28-year-old Joe Rodgers, who was taken into custody without incident. Police recovered 3.12 grams of heroin, 14 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Rodgers has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver in Tier 2 Quantity
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 2 Quantity
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $6,500 unsecured bail.
