Important Evacuation Update for Crescenta Valley Communities
Some evacuation orders have now been adjusted:
Evacuation Warnings Lifted:
- La Crescenta and Montrose are no longer under evacuation warnings.
Evacuation Orders Fully Lifted:
- Zones predominantly to the west of Angeles Crest Highway in La Cañada Flintridge are now clear of all evacuation orders or warnings. This includes the Paradise, Castle, Alta Canyada, Crest A, and Hillard Zones in the City of La Cañada Flintridge.
Evacuation Orders Changed to Warnings:
- Zones immediately east of Angeles Crest Highway and north of Foothill Boulevard, including Crest, Commonwealth, and Foothill East Zones.
Evacuation Orders Remain in Effect:
- Starlight Crest, Crown, Foothill East, and JPL Zones are still under evacuation orders.
What Does This Mean?
- Evacuation Warning Zones: Residents in these areas may return home, but please use extreme caution as hazards may still exist. Be prepared to evacuate again if conditions worsen.
- No Order or Warning Zones: These areas are safe to repopulate.
- Evacuation Order Zones: These areas are still at risk and cannot be repopulated. Deputies will not allow anyone to enter these zones.
Curfew Reminder:
All areas under evacuation orders remain subject to the countywide curfew from 6 PM to 6 AM. Being in these areas during curfew hours may result in a misdemeanor arrest. This curfew ensures public safety and deters looting or other criminal activity.
Power Restoration Update:
We’ve received sporadic reports that power is returning to parts of our area. While we’re encouraged by this progress, full restoration timelines remain unclear. Please be aware that some areas may still have line damage.
