Updated Evacuation Orders and Executive Order for curfew in all areas that are under currently in EVACUATION status
The Eaton Fire continue to burn, presently at only 3 percent containment. The current wind conditions, while calm, are expected to change in the next few days and bring concerns about embers being carried into Sierra Madre.
City Manager Reynoso signed Executive Order No. 2025-01 today, declaring a 6:00 pm - 6:00 am curfew in the areas still under Evacuation status.
Along with this decision, the City Manager has authorized the full removal of all evacuation orders in Zones 17 B and 18.
Evacuation orders for Zone 17 A are unchanged. Areas East of Michillinda & West of Santa Anita, South of Grandview & North of Highland Blvd. remain in Warning. Residents & businesses may begin to populate but should be prepared to evacuate, if necessary.
Evacuation orders for Zone 17 B are updated. Areas East of Michillinda & West of Santa Anita, South of Highland Avenue and North of Sierra Madre Blvd. have no evacuation orders in place. Residents and businesses may begin to fully populate all areas south of Highland Avenue.

However, there is some good news. Southern California Edison (SCE) has restorned power to much of Sierra Madre. There are still some areas without power and SCE is working to ensure that all lines are safe before returning power to the respective grids. Please DO NOT TOUCH OR HANDLE A DOWNED POWER LINE. Report downed power lines to 9-1-1.
The water is safe in Sierra Madre.
Police Chief Barrientos is working with Los Angeles County officials to allocate additional resources to secure our City.
