Special Weather Statement until 11:00PM
Above-freezing temperatures on Saturday allowed the ice to melt. While most roads were able to dry during the afternoon thanks to the sunshine and winds, some shaded areas may remain wet early this evening. Any residual moisture will have the potential to refreeze late this evening and overnight as temperatures quickly drop into the 20s and teens. Motorists should drive with extra caution through the early morning on Sunday given the potential to encounter slick spots. Slow down and leave plenty of room in front of you. Untreated bridges, overpasses, and sidewalks will be the most prone to black ice.
