Winter Weather Advisory until 01:00PM

* WHAT...Snow. Blowing Snow. Visibility reduced to 1/2 mile or less at times. Additional snow accumulation of up to two inches. Winds gusting as high as 75 mph.

* WHERE...Upper Anchorage Hillside. Higher elevations of Eagle River. Portage Valley.

* WHEN...Until 1 PM AKST this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels have remained at or above approximately 1000ft along the East Anchorage Hillside, or areas east of Hillside Dr and SE of Rabbit Creek. Webcams and reports indicate heavy snow falling in Portage Valley and adjacent areas as well. Winds will gradually decrease through the afternoon. Temperatures should warm such that precipitation transitions to rain. Rainfall on untreated and snow-covered roads may result in additional slick travel conditions.
