Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. requests the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured male suspect in connection with a package theft that occurred on Thursday, January 9, 2025.
At approximately 11:15 a.m., a victim’s delivered package was stolen from the front door of a residence at Sayre Street near 17th Avenue. The package contained clothing items valued at $82.00.
Detectives investigating this incident describe the suspect as wearing a red hooded jacket under a dark-colored jacket, light blue jeans, black sneakers, a facial mask, and gloves.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information regarding the identity of this suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS(1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
