PATH meeting tomorrow; Health clinic Thursday; NY Waterway kayaker meeting announced
REMINDER: PATH meeting tomorrow on upcoming terminal closure
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey will host another public information session regarding the upcoming closure of the PATH Hoboken Station at the ticketing area of the PATH Station at the Hoboken Terminal on Tuesday, Jan. 14, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Representatives from PATH and PANYNJ will be available to discuss the closure, as well as plans for travel alternatives, while the station is closed from 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 30 through 5 a.m. on Feb. 25 for significant track and station upgrades.
Additional sessions will be held at multiple locations on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at 5:30 p.m., including the World Trade Center, 33rd Street, and Newport PATH stations.

Winter COVID-19 and flu vaccination clinics
The Hoboken Division of Health is partnering with the Hudson Regional Health Commission to host free COVID-19 and flu vaccine clinics and health screenings this winter.
Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 shots will be available for anyone six months and older. The seasonal flu vaccine will be available for people 18-years and older, with high-dose flu vaccine available for those 65 and older.
Clinics will be held at the Multi-Service Center, 124 Grand St., from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., on:
- Thursday, Jan. 16
- Thursday, Feb. 20
- Thursday, March 20
Free health screenings, provided by Alliance Community Healthcare, include blood pressure, weight, covid, cholesterol, and glucose.
Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are preferred and can be made at: www.HudsonCountyVax.org.
Anyone who lives or works in Hoboken is invited to pick up free a COVID-19 test kit, while supplies last, at the Multi-Service Center. Each kit includes two tests, and can be picked up during regular Health Division hours: Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information call (201) 420-2375.
Maxwell Beach kayakers invited to meeting hosted by NY Waterway
NY Waterway invites residents to a virtual community meeting on Monday, Jan. 27, at 6 p.m. to learn more about upcoming temporary operations at the leased portion of Union Dry Dock. The meeting will focus on efforts to enhance safety for kayakers at Maxwell Beach and updates on how operations may impact Maxwell Beach users and surrounding waters.
