INCIDENT: PC 459 - Burglary
LOCATION: HD Surplus, 13584 Central Road, Apple Valley
SUSPECT(S): John Clayton Gammill II, 32-year-old male of Apple Valley
SUMMARY: On Saturday, January 11, 2025, deputies from Apple Valley Police Department were dispatched to an alarm activation at HD Surplus, located at 13584 Central Road in the town of Apple Valley.
Deputy K. Mammolito responded to the business and awaited the arrival of a business representative. Once the representative arrived, Deputy Mammolito entered the business with them. Upon entering the business, they heard noise and saw a subject run from the building and jump a fence.
Additional deputies responded to the area and located a subject matching the description of the person seen fleeing the business. This person, identified as John Clayton Gammill, II, was arrested and booked into High Desert Detention Center for burglary.
On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, San Bernardino District Attorney filed a felony charge of PC 459, Burglary. Gammill remains in custody at High Desert Detention Center, where he is currently being held in lieu of $30,000 bail.
