Wilmington Police have arrested two men and a woman on drug charges following an investigation.
Beginning in January, members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division have been conducting an investigation into illegal drug sales in the 600 block of West Street. On January 14, at approximately 12:27 p.m., police conducted a vehicle stop in the 700 block of North Tatnall Street and took 32-year-old Nyier Starks, and 30-year-old Shaquay Oneal into custody without incident. Subsequently, police executed a search warrant in the 600 block of West Street and took 64-year-old Esro Ellerbe into custody without incident. Police recovered 3.19 grams of crack cocaine, 3.9 grams of heroin, 50.72 grams of marijuana, 1 liquid ounce of Codeine, 116 Oxycodone pills, 63 MDMA pills, 30 Clonazepam pills, 27 Amphetamine pills, and drug paraphernalia.
Nyier Starks has been charged with the following offenses in addition to traffic violations:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver in Tier 2 Quantity
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $31,500 cash-only bail.
Shaquay Oneal has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 2 Quantity
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 1 Quantity
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
She was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was released on $7,500 unsecured bail.
Esro Ellerbe has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance – Two Counts
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was released on $1,500 unsecured bail.
