Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection to an armed robbery following an investigation.
On December 24, 2024, at approximately 9:15 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 1200 block of Elm Street in reference to an armed robbery. The case was assigned to Detective Jessica Gledhill of the Criminal Investigations Division. Through the course of her investigation, Detective Gledhill identified 30-year-old Tyerin Anderson as a suspect, and obtained warrants for his arrest. On January 15, police executed a search warrant in the 1100 block of Chestnut Street and took Anderson into custody without incident.
Anderson has been charged with the following offenses:
- Robbery (First Degree) – Three Counts
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 20 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $60,000 secured bail.
