Numerous Firearms Found When Deputies Investigate Criminal Threats in San Bernardino

LOCATION: 4100 block of North 3rd Avenue, San Bernardino, CA, 92407
SUSPECT(S): Allen Hilbert, 44-year-old, resident of San Bernardino
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Thursday, January 16, 2025, at approximately 2:00 am, deputies responded to a report of criminal threats. Deputies arrived at a residence in the 4100 block of North 3rd Avenue, in unincorporated San Bernardino, and discovered 44-year-old Allen Hilbert had threatened to kill his neighbor with a firearm. Deputies contacted and detained Hilbert at his residence.
A search warrant was written and served for Hilbert’s residence. Deputies recovered 87 firearms which included illegal assault weapons, stolen firearms, sawed off shotguns and several non-serialized firearms which are also known as “ghost guns”.
Hilbert was arrested and booked at Central Detention Center for PC 422-Criminal Threats, PC 23900-Manufacturing Firearms, PC 33215-Manufacturing of Short Barrel Rifle, and PC 496(a)-Possession of Stolen Property, and is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
