Police Seek Help Identifying Burglary Suspect
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr. seeks the public’s help in identifying the suspect pictured below, who took tools and an electric scooter from the storage room of an apartment building on December 25, 2024.
At approximately 8:30 p.m., the suspect was captured on surveillance video removing the items from the storage room in the basement of the Indigo Residence, an apartment building located in the 800 block of Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Boulevard. He loaded items onto an elevator, left the building, and placed them in a taxi.
Director Miranda Sr. urges anyone with information about the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are confidential and could result in a reward.
