FREE Drug Education Presentation by the DEA on February 6, 2025 / 7:00pm at the New Lenox Village Hall 
The Village of New Lenox and its Safe Community Coalition, in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Chicago Field Division, are excited to have DEA Special Agent Greg Czaczkowski speak about drug and substance use issues that are currently affecting our community. The presentation will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm in the Community Room at the New Lenox Village Hall. Special Agent Czaczkowski’s presentation will be beneficial to both parents as well as teens. The presentation will cover topics such as:
- Substance Use Disorder
- Marijuana Use Among Teens
- Illicit Use of Pills
- Vaping
- Making Good Choices
- Staying Away from Peer Pressure
- Current Trends the DEA is Watching
Special Agent Czaczkowski has been agent with the DEA for over 20 years and will share many stories during this presentation. He’s a dynamic speaker and everyone in attendance will learn valuable information.
In addition to the presentation, the DEA Chicago Field Division will have an informational table at the event as will the Heroin Epidemic Relief Organization (HERO). A vast display of items from HERO’s “Hidden in Plain Sight” trailer will be on hand. Parents will be able to see first-hand the types of paraphernalia currently being utilized, including various items that teens are using to conceal drugs.
Weather permitting, the DEA Chicago Field Division will be bringing their “One Pill Can Kill” show vehicle that’s used for Substance Use Prevention and Education.
Lastly, Officer Candice Guidry from the New Lenox Police Department, will be on hand for a demonstration with her K-9 partner Harlie. This duo is always a big hit wherever they go.
This presentation is ideal for parents, school counselors, athletic coaches, youth pastors or anyone that has a connection to youth.
