The latest forecast for our area calls for a mix of rain turning to snow beginning late Sunday morning through Sunday evening. Snowfall rates could potentially exceed 1” per hour, and accululations between 3"-9" are expected.
Temperatures will fall dangerously low by Sunday night, and are expected remain well below freezing through Friday. High temperatures are expected to be mainly in the teens, with lows in the single digits to below 0°.
Drivers should expect dangerous road conditions throughout the weekend, and are encouraged to avoid or delay travel if possible. If you must travel please give yourself extra time and use caution.
Residents are encouraged to park vehicles off the roadway when possible, and be mindful of emergency snow routes where parking is restricted during a snow warning. A Nixle emergency alert will advise residents should it become necessary for Police to remove vehicles from designated roadways. RESIDENTS WHO WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE TO MOVE THEIR VEHICLES ARE ENCOURAGED TO PLAN ACCORDINGLY. Vehicles in violation are subject to fines and may be impounded.
