Timing: Sunday (1/19/25) through Wednesday (1/22/25) ​

The Bridgewater Police Department and the Bridgewater Office of Emergency Management are monitoring the winter weather forcast for Sunday into Monday, as well as the cold weather conditions for the coming week.

Sunday January 19: Widespread snow accumulations, with snowfall rates potentially exceeding 1” per hour, may result in travel difficulties. Greatest totals of 6-10” forecast northwest of the I-95 corridor. A wintry mix, or even predominantly rain is possible for areas near and southeast of the I-95 corridor, with snow totals up to 3” possible in these areas.

Wednesday January 22: Dangerously cold conditions with minimum wind chills below 0° are likely to lead to impacts for people, animals, and infrastructure. There will be an increased risk of hypothermia and frost bite. Impacts to infrastructure could include frozen pipes and increased demand for heating energy.

NO PARKING ON EMERGENCY SNOW ROUTES

Pursuant to the provisions of §§ 206-21 and 206-27.1, wherever snow has fallen and the accumulation is such that it covers the street or highway, no person shall park a vehicle upon either side of any of the streets or parts thereof listed below, and no person shall cause, permit, allow or suffer any vehicle owned by or driven by him to become stalled or immobile on any of the streets or parts thereof listed below because of failure of said vehicle to be equipped with snow tires or chains in good working order.
