The City of Thomasville urgently requests your cooperation due to multiple water line breaks causing significantly reduced water availability. To protect life, safety, and ensure resources are available for critical needs such as fire suppression, we ask all residents to immediately limit water use to essential needs only:

• Drinking & Healthcare Only: Use water only for drinking, essential hygiene, and healthcare purposes.
• Postpone Non-Essential Use: Avoid activities like laundry, car washing, or unnecessary flushing of toilets.

Conservation Tips During a Water Outage

• Hygiene Alternatives: Use hand sanitizer, wet wipes, or soap without water to maintain clean hands while conserving your water supply.
• Turn Off Your Water Heater: If water is unavailable, turn off the water heater or its heat source to prevent overheating, which could lead to damage or fire hazards.

What You Can Do to Help

• Report Leaks Immediately: If you see actively flowing water main breaks, call the Water Plant at 336-475-4247.
• Reduce Peak Usage: Water usage is higher during the day. Conserving water now will help our water production facilities recover in the coming days.
