Police Seek Help Identifying Robbery Suspects
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. seeks the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured suspects in connection with a robbery that occurred on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.
A male victim was followed by two Hispanic males into an apartment building in the 500 block of North 6th Street. One of the suspects choked the victim while the other suspect removed his wallet from his pants pocket. Both suspects then fled, running northbound on North 6th Street. The victim’s wallet contained his ID, two bank cards, and $200.00 in cash.
Detectives investigating this incident describe Suspect No. 1 as 5’9”-5’11” tall with a thin build and a light complexion. He was wearing all-black clothing, a ski mask, and black and white Nike sneakers. Suspect No. 2 is described as 5’5”-5’7” tall also with a thin build and a light complexion. He was wearing all black clothing, a ski mask, a green hoodie, and white New Balance sneakers.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information about the whereabouts of the Buick or the identity of either of these suspects to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
