* WHERE...In Minnesota, Goodhue County. In Wisconsin, Pepin and Pierce Counties.
* WHEN...For the Cold Weather Advisory, until midnight CST tonight. For the Extreme Cold Warning, from midnight tonight to noon CST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 35 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
* AFFECTED AREAS: GOODHUE ... PIERCE ... PEPIN
Instructions:
Persons are urged to stay indoors until conditions improve. If you must go outside, dress in layers. Several layers of clothes will keep you warmer than a single heavy coat. Cover exposed skin to reduce your risk of frostbite or hypothermia. Gloves, a scarf, and a hat will keep you from losing your body heat. Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must go outside.
