COLD WEATHER ADVISORY 
Cold Weather Advisory
The National Weather Service has issued a Cold Weather Advisory for Wayne County until noon EST, Wednesday, with wind chills dropping to 15 to 20 below zero. Frostbite can occur on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes, so please take precautions.
Safety Tips:
- Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves when traveling outside.
- Check on older family, friends, and neighbors frequently. If you know or see someone out in the cold, don't hesitate to get in touch with 911 or the non-emergency police line at (734) 793-1700. Our emergency personnel will work to ensure they are taken to a safe place to stay warm.
- Use portable heaters safely, and never run generators indoors.
- Keep pets indoors as much as possible to ensure their safety.
Stay safe and warm, and remember: Garden City has Warming Centers that are open to those in need.
