#LASD beginning Demobilization with a Resource Transition and Curfew Orders Update for Eaton Fire #Altadena
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD) is modifying its deployment in the Altadena Eaton Fire burn area. This transition marks a shift in our operations, moving from containment with hard closures, to a community support mission with additional roving patrols. The Department’s focus is now on assisting residents as they return to their homes and begin the process of recovery.
The Los Angeles County curfew order is still in place; however, it is only applicable to areas under active evacuation orders. The curfew order no longer applies to communities that are considered evacuation warnings.
For a complete list of closures, please visit protect.genasys.com.
As residents return to their homes, some may find them without utilities. To support the affected areas still experiencing utility outages, LASD will supplement patrol operations with additional deputy personnel on looter suppression details to ensure the safety of these Altadena neighborhoods.
We thank the residents of Altadena for their patience and cooperation during this challenging time. LASD remains committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all communities in Los Angeles County.
