Winter Storm Warning & Cold Weather Advisory 
According to the US National Weather Service Charleston SC, Jasper County is now under a Winter Storm Warning and Cold Weather Advisory from 5 PM Tuesday to Noon Wednesday. Please take the following warnings and precautions seriously to stay safe: Cold Temperatures: • Near-record low temperatures expected Wednesday night. • Dangerous wind chills of 8-15°F possible, especially Wednesday night. Winter Precipitation Potential: • Snowfall: 1 to 2.5 inches expected, with locally higher amounts possible. • Ice Accumulation: Up to 0.25” in coastal counties. • Greatest Impact Window: Tuesday evening through Wednesday morning. Travel Advisory: • Roads, bridges, and overpasses will likely become slick and hazardous. • Wet roads could refreeze, causing continued issues into Wednesday night and Thursday. • Delay all travel unless absolutely necessary. If you must drive, use extreme caution. Stay Safe: • Stay indoors if possible and dress in layers if you must go outside. • Be mindful that emergency response may be delayed due to road conditions, but Jasper County Emergency Services will respond as quickly as possible.
