Boaters: National Weather Service has issued a GALE WARNING in effect for Inner waters from Point Mugu to San Mateo Pt. area thru mid-afternoon hours PST Tue. Gale force gusts of 35 to 45 knots are expected through the mid afternoon hours Tuesday. There is a 50% chance that winds will increase to Storm Force levels (48-55 kts) for the waters south of Ventura to Malibu and out past Santa Cruz Island from midnight tonight through early Tuesday morning. Steep, choppy seas of 3 to 6 feet are expected to result from the strong winds, increasing up to 8 feet further offshore. In addition, winds of 25 to 35 knots with local gusts up to 40 kt are possible across the San Pedro Channel, affecting Avalon Harbor, along with steep seas of 5 to 8 feet.
