Community Advisory: Rate Changes Effective 2025
 
Dear Residents of Merriam Woods,
We would like to inform you of upcoming changes to various fees and rates that will take effect in the coming months. Please see the details below:

1. Late Fee Increase
   Effective March 1, 2025, the late fee for overdue payments will increase from $10 to $15.
2. Disconnect & Reconnect Fee Increase
   Effective February 1, 2025, the fees for disconnecting and reconnecting services will increase from $20 to $25.
3. Sewer Rate Increase
   Effective April 1, 2025, the sewer rate will increase by $3 from $23 to $26, the second-tier sewer rate is not increasing.
4. Water Rate Increases
   Also effective April 1, 2025:
   • The first tier of the water rate (for the first 1,000 gallons) will increase to $16 to $17.50.
   • The second tier of the water rate (for anything over 1,000 gallons) will increase from $3.75 to $5.
