* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 7 and 15 inches with higher amounts on the highest peaks. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph.

* WHERE...The Highwood, Little Belt, Judith, and Snowy Mountains.

* WHEN...Until 9 PM MST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult and tire chains may be required for some vehicles. Those in the backcountry should ensure they are prepared for dangerous conditions. Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. Strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees.

* AFFECTED AREAS: LITTLE BELT AND HIGHWOOD MOUNTAINS ... SNOWY AND JUDITH MOUNTAINS
