Wilmington Police arrest two men on gun charges:
Wilmington Police have arrested two men on gun charges.
On January 17, at approximately 10:39 a.m., members of the Safe Streets Task Force were in the 800 block of West 8th Street when they observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation. Police attempted to conduct a vehicle stop at that location, at which time the vehicle disregarded and fled the area. A short time later, the vehicle was located in the area of Delaware Avenue and North Washington Street. Police took 28-year-old Dre’Quille Brickhouse and 38-year-old Darrell Robinson into custody without incident, and recovered a loaded 9mm handgun, .9 grams of crack cocaine, and 28 grams of marijuana.
Brickhouse has been charged with the following offenses in addition to traffic violations:
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited – Two Counts
- Disregarding a Police Officer’s Signal
Robinson has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited – Two Counts
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
