Moonachie Fire Dept cleared the Robert L Craig School Smoke Condition, Scene is Now Safe for Return of Students and Staff 
An earlier smoke condition prompted the evacuation of students and staff from RLC School. Police evacuated all students and staff and escorted them all safely to Moonachie Borough Hall where they waited inside the building. The Moonachie Fire Department responded and located the source of the smoke at a heating unit on the roof. That unit was safely disconnected and is now awaiting repair. There was no fire. Students and staff are being escorted back to the school by police at this time. Further information may be provided by school administration.
