Juvenile Left Alone in a Hotel Room, 33-year-old Lake Forest Woman Arrested
DATE/TIME: Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at approximately 4:03 p.m.
INCIDENT: PC 273A(A) - Child Endangerment
LOCATION: 1400 block of J Street., Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Karen Juarez, 33-Years-Old, Resident of Lake Forest, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential, 8-year-old juvenile
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, January 21, 2025, deputies from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department responded to the area of 1400 J Street, reference a report of a found child. When deputies arrived on scene it was determined Karen Juarez had left an 8-year-old child, who was in her care, alone in a hotel room for an unknown amount of time.
Karen Juarez was consequently arrested for PC 273A (a) - Child Endangerment and transported to the High Desert Detention Center for booking. Juarez remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail in the amount of $50,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
