Severe Weather Shelter Open Tonight 
Due to freezing temperatures, the Severe Weather Shelter will be open tonight, Wednesday, January 22nd.
The shelter is located at the Senior Community Center, 370 Brien Ave. SE. Shelter residents must check in between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
If anyone needs assistance after hours, they must call 911 and have a police/fire escort to check into an activated shelter.
The City Emergency Manager is monitoring the forecast and preparing for a potential activation again this weekend (Friday night through Sunday night). An additional alert will be sent out if we activate later in the week.
