On Thursday, January 23, Deputy Timothy Corlew will be honored by a procession through Norco. Deputy Corlew, who was assigned to the Jurupa Valley Sheriff's Station as a motor deputy at the Norco Sheriff's Station, was involved in an on-duty traffic accident on January 8.
The procession, noted below, will depart Harvest Christian Fellowship at approximately 12:30 p.m. At approximately 1 p.m., the procession will travel down Sixth Street, followed by Hamner Avenue. Please note, temporary road closures may be in effect.
- Westbound on Arlington Avenue
- Turn left, head southbound on Crestview Drive
- Turn right, head westbound on Eighth Street
- Turn left, head southbound on California Avenue
- Turn right, head westbound on Sixth Street
- Turn left, head southbound on Hamner Avenue
- Turn left, head eastbound on Second Street
- Turn right, merge onto southbound Interstate 15
- Merge onto eastbound State Route 91
- Exit State Route 91 at Central Avenue and turn right
- Arrive at Olivewood Memorial Park (Not open to the public)
Community members who want to show support and honor Deputy Corlew may line the procession route. If you show your support on Sixth Street, please stay in the horse trail between Sierra Avenue and California Avenue. For the safety of spectators and vehicles in the procession, please DO NOT:
- Stand in the street
- Approach the procession
- Join the procession
- Block any public safety/law enforcement vehicles
