Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Criminal Mischief Suspect
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr. seeks the public’s help in identifying the female suspect pictured below, who damaged a glass door at a gas station on January 14, 2025.
The criminal mischief incident occurred at approximately 4 a.m. at the Shell Gas Station in the 900 block of South Orange Avenue. A Black woman was captured on surveillance video ordering merchandise from the gas station’s service window. As the employee gathered the woman’s items, she became impatient and kicked the station’s glass door, causing it to shatter. She wore a black coat, olive green pants, and black shoes, and had a red foldable shopping cart.
