Suspect Arrested for Drug Sales 
Proactive policing leads to arrest of suspect selling drugs.
San Mateo, CA – On January 23, 2025, at 12:20 a.m., a San Mateo Police officer was proactively patrolling downtown San Mateo. The officer was at the intersection of 7th Avenue and South Railroad Avenue near a local bar and saw a male asleep in the driver seat of his vehicle with the car running and headlights turned on. As the officer approached the car, he saw an open beer can in the center console.
The officer contacted the driver of the vehicle, identified as Evaristo Solorio-Lozano. Solorio-Lozano appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and the officer conducted DUI investigation. Officers searched Solorio-Lozano’s car and located over 16 grams of suspected methamphetamine, over 10 grams of suspected cocaine, money, and evidence of drug sales. Solorio-Lozano was arrested for DUI and possession of drugs for sale.

11351 H&S- Possess narcotic for sale, 11378 H&S- Possess controlled substance for sale, 23152(b) VC- Driving under the influence with prior convictions.
