Waking up again to below freezing temperatures and hazardous road conditions
This morning, Saturday, January 25, 2025, Beaufort County residents and visitors are waking up to below-freezing temperatures.
According to the National Weather Service, the past 12 hours of below-freezing temperatures have resulted in the refreezing of snow and slush that melted on Friday. Today will have warmer temperatures and will hopefully result in most of the snow to dissipate on main and secondary roads. Less traveled routes and shaded areas have the possibility of residual ice and snow.
We continue to urge you to remain off the roads unless travel is necessary as hazardous conditions could be likely.
