Flood Advisory until 09:00AM Saturday

Periods of moderate to heavy rain combined with frozen ground could cause flooding through the weekend along the Seward Highway and surrounding areas.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...The following area, East Turnagain Arm, specifically low roadways and areas of poor drainage along the Seward Highway.

* WHEN...Until 900 AM AKST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 135 PM AKST, rainfall was moving into Turnagain Arm. Periods of moderate to heavy rainfall, up to 2.5 inches, can be expected to fall through the weekend, causing rapid rises on area streams, with flooding possible along roadways and in areas with poor drainage. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
