Full Notification

The City of Columbia notifies its customers of travel lane closures near the 6300 block of Garners Ferry Road due to an 8-inch water main break.  The break has been repaired and water service restored to all customers, but traffic impacts remain.  Inbound traffic into Columbia is restricted to one lane between Cedar Terrace and Brandon Avenue.  Outbound traffic is restricted to two lanes between Old Woodlands Road and Brandon Avenue.  These impacts are anticipated to remain throughout the weekend and into early next week, as emergency work to restore the roadway is planned and executed.  In the interim, the City urges its citizens to utilize caution and adhere to the traffic control signage.  Additional updates will be provided as conditions change.
