* WHEN...Until 4 AM PST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Periods of air stagnation can lead to the buildup of pollutants near the surface.

* AFFECTED AREAS: NORTHERN PANHANDLE ... COEUR D'ALENE AREA ... CENTRAL PANHANDLE MOUNTAINS ... SPOKANE AREA ... NORTHEAST MOUNTAINS ... OKANOGAN HIGHLANDS ... WENATCHEE AREA ... OKANOGAN VALLEY ... WATERVILLE PLATEAU ... CENTRAL CHELAN COUNTY ... WESTERN CHELAN COUNTY ... WESTERN OKANOGAN COUNTY

Buildup of fine pollution particles can be harmful to those sensitive to air pollution including people with lung and heart problems, people with diabetes, children and the elderly. If possible, reduce or eliminate activities that contribute to air pollution such as, outdoor burning and use of residential wood burning devices.
