1. Negligent Discharge (0832) 1200 Block of Roosevelt Street, Park District
Officers responded to a report of a male requesting police assistance. When officers arrived, they heard gunshots coming from inside the house. Officers evacuated nearby residents, and the suspect eventually came out and was taken into custody. Officers did not find any shooting victims inside the residence. ARRESTED: Antonio Galvan, 46, for negligent discharge of a firearm.
2. Resisting Arrest (1408) Center Street and Lafayette Street, Civic District
Officers tried to detain the suspect for a code violation. The suspect resisted arrest and tried to pull away from the officers. One officer deployed his taser to take the suspect into custody. ARRESTED: Roberto Riberal, 34, for resisting arrest and municipal code violation.
